Kate Upton is the newest cover for the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
The 19 year old model wears a very tiny red-and-brown, sparkle-covered string bikini for the magazine cover and is heavily photoshopped.
Last year, when Irina Shayk was on the cover, Upton was chosen as rookie of the year.
Regarding the cover shoor, she said : "That was one of the first photos from the first shoot; it was my favorite swimsuit. ... I felt sexy in it but confident."
The 2012 magazine cover is her second time appearing in the annual SI issue.

Here are some of the interview highlights(or should I say lies, maybe?!):
On aging: “I’ll take my wrinkles. I don’t like the Botox thing.”
On her diet, when she’s not detoxing: “I eat whatever I want. I like bread and cheese and wine, and that makes my life fun and enjoyable.”
“Everything I’ve done has been completely organic, and that’s why the brand is a strong brand, because there is no ulterior motive behind it,” she says.
On her husband, Chris Martin: “He’s very communicative. which is rare for a British man. If I’m in L.A. for three days working, then my husband does the school run; it’s always one of us.”
On her marriage: “I have little kids in school. I want to maintain my marriage and my family, so I have to be here when he comes home.”
On crediting her father’s practical advice on the secret to a long-lasting marriage: “My parents were married for 30-something years, and he said [it was] because they never wanted to get divorced at the same time. I think you do fall in and out of love and you just keep going, and every time you go through a really difficult phase, you rediscover something new and it just gets better. We’ve been married for more than eight years now, and we’re still into it.”
